“Fitness and fashion do not go hand in hand” says only an ignorant. If you thought fitness fashion is an alien concept, you probably are living in an alien world right now. For the realm of fitness has become fashionable over the years and how! Gone are the days of ill-fitted, dull, plain-Jane, no-nonsense track pants and t-shirts. Fitness clothing is just as expressive and idea-elucidating as party-wear clothes probably. And, with the whole concept of working out becoming more holistic, great emphasis is being laid to not only what you do, but also what you eat, what kind of lifestyle you lead, and what you wear while you are on the job. For good-looking clothes not only serve as extra motivation to sweat it out like you mean it, but they also make the whole experience more fun.
And with all the myriad options we have right now to be fit and kicking, there should be no dull moment in your fit life.
Dieting is darkness and Diwali has lights written all over it!
It’s high time we stop obsessing over Diwali detox without understanding what goes into making the delicious laddoos and mithai. It’s time to teach your kid how to roll a laddoo and make it the new cool thing (again), instead of teaching him how to play games on a cellphone.
This festive season, what’s the plan? To pretend that you have an upset stomach or skip that party or to tell your friends that you have an upset stomach? WHO ARE YOU FOOLING?
If you keep looking at that piece of gulab jamun, thinking of ways to skip it, you and your body get disturbed. A disturbed and stressed body converts maximum food to fat. Now would you want that?
Remember that ceramic container covered with a cloth, loaded with oil and salt and kept in a particular corner of the kitchen that gets just the right amount of sunlight?
The peak of summer is at hand and everyone’s busy looking for ways to beat the heat.
Leave in conditioner: Check
Face wipes: Check
Water bottle (if you have some space in your bag): Check
And you are… not ready to face the summers! Here’s why:
I know you are trying to beat the heat by drinking high energy drinks (read: gulping sugar) and relying on those ice creams and candies to keep you cool. I feel sorry for you!
There’s a reason why you get watermelons, muskmelons, mangoes and all the yummy fruits in summer.
No you don’t eat them occasionally as desserts.
No you don’t even ditch mangoes because some aunty told you that pimples ho jaenge.
No you don’t eat 2 pieces of cucumber at lunch and think aj ka salad hogya!
These fruits have high levels of water and not only quench your thirst, but are also loaded with nutrients and have to capacity to keep you feeling full for longer.
Some event coming up? Lose weight so that you don’t waste time un-tagging yourself from Facebook pics later.
Planning to shed some kilos? Do it the healthy way.

If vending machine & coffee machine are your best friends at work, this blog is for you.
Indulgence is a way of life. If I were a dessert, I’d be a 100% dark chocolate cupcake with some hazelnuts and a scoop of Belgian ice cream on the side.
I recently attended the #McCainMeetup by McCain Foods at Sheraton, Saket. There, I met some food and fashion bloggers, and got the opportunity to taste quick meals prepared by the head chef of McCain- Tushar.
While on my way back home, with Veggie Fingers, Potato cheese shots and some more yumminess from McCain foods in my bag I kept thinking of making a protein rich recipe using these. As you know, potatoes contain good levels of carbohydrates which help you keep your energy levels high. How about adding some protein to these and increasing the fat burning process also?
Yaar moisturizer hai?
Oye! Lip balm dio!
Dryness is one of the most common winter problems and people can’t stop hoarding moisturizers to get rid of it. There is no denying the fact that you need moisturizers to keep your skin soft and supple but nothing, I repeat, NOTHING will help if your body is not hydrated.
Now you’ll be like Sardiyon mai waise hi suraj nai nikalta, dehydration kha se hoga?!
This is how you lose water in winters:
- Increased respiratory fluid loss (nose and mouth). You lose water when you go all- Dekh muh se dhuan nikal raha hai!
- Sweat evaporates quickly in winters. Before you realize that you are sweating, it evaporates!
- Increased urine production
