Remember how your grandmother told you about the benefits of oil massage and ‘forced’ you to use ghee, malai/milk cream, etc.on your skin? You never paid attention, did you? I was pretty ignorant and then I regretted it. And the regret made me try different concoctions. Sharing my experience with one such natural ingredient- Shea Butter and how it has been doing wonders for me.

I’ve had a one-sided long term affair with acne and that made me try literally everything under the sun, only to settle for natural creams and lotions, mostly homemade. I’ve been whipping different butters and oils for a while now and hence decided to share my love for one of my favorite natural butters- Shea Butter. McCain Stuffed Capsicum

I recently attended the #McCainMeetup by McCain Foods at Sheraton, Saket. There, I met some food and fashion bloggers, and got the opportunity to taste quick meals prepared by the head chef of McCain- Tushar.

While on my way back home, with Veggie Fingers, Potato cheese shots and some more yumminess from McCain foods in my bag I kept thinking of making a protein rich recipe using these. As you know, potatoes contain good levels of carbohydrates which help you keep your energy levels high. How about adding some protein to these and increasing the fat burning process also?

Overnight Oatmeal Mugs

Don’t have time to make breakfast in the morning? Here’s what you need-

Overnight No Cook Oatmeal Mason Jars

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup Quaker oats
  • 1/3 cup milk (you can use soy milk, almond milk, etc.)
  • 1/3 cup yogurt (dahi)
  • 1/2 banana (can replace with any other fruit)
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds
  • 2 tbsp Chocolate chips

Procedure:

  1. Add oats, milk and yogurt to a mason jar/mug. Stir, and add flax seeds and peanut butter. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  2. In the morning, add banana and chocolate chips.
