I have been travelling 2-3 times a month for the last few months. All this travelling and running around in the sun has taken a toll on my skin. I’ve always had sensitive, oily and acne prone skin but the change in weather, sun, etc took the problem to another level, making my skin dull and lifeless.

how to treat dull skin
What causes dull skin?
Accumulation of dead cells on the surface of the skin is one if the major contributors to dull skin. Though there are a lot of other factors like insufficient water intake, improper nutritional choices, environmental factors- dust and pollutants, improper cleansing, sun exposure, stress, AC & long working hours, etc.
If you are suffering from dull skin, the key to treat it is to understand the cause first. In my case, the major cause was sun and AC. One minute I am sitting in an air conditioned room and the next minute you’ll see me running in the sun.

How to treat dull skin?
Increasing your water intake, having antioxidant rich foods, exercising and exfoliating are some ways to treat dull complexion and make your skin look fresh.

Exfoliating everyday is the first step to dealing with dull skin. But isn’t using scrubs everyday harmful for your facial skin? IT IS. Use a scrub, according to your face type, once or twice a week. But then how do you exfoliate everyday? Using a product with micro beads. A lot of brands are introducing products with micro beads and I decided to go ahead and try the Clean & Clear range which promises fresh skin.
Clean & Clear has a range of Morning energy Face washes, specifically designed to wake up your dull looking skin in the morning. The product contains natural extracts of Strawberry, Lemon or Apple and its unique formula is enriched with soft BURSTING BEADS® that gently burst with an energizing fragrance on your skin and let you experience a new wave of freshness every morning.

I got a chance to try the range last month and have been using it since then and my skin hasn’t looked so fresh in years.
