  1. In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds to it. Once the seeds begin to sputter, add asafetida and curry leaves.
  2. Throw in some slit green chilis (I generally go overboard here) and haldi.
  3. Throw in the potatoes and sprinkle salt and red chili powder over them. Cook for a minute.
  4. Add bread pieces and sprinkle some more salt and water. Mix well. Cover and cook for another 2-3 mins.
  5. Check if everything has mixed well. Juice half a lemon over it.
  6. Sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds.
  7. Transfer to a plate and relish!
Recipe Notes
  1. For fat-  sesame seeds can be replaced with grated cheese
  2. To increase the protein intake of the dish, you can serve it with some moong dal sprouts or boiled chickpeas.
